Rev. Al Beasley

Rev. Al Beasley

Interim Minister

Effective December 1, 2023, Rev. Al Beasley has been called as intentional Interim Minister of First Christian Church while the Search Committee seeks a settled pastor. Rev. Al's term is for a period of six month.

In 2013, following three years of study, practice, and under the guidance of exceptional mentoring,  Al was commissioned by First Christian Church, Scottsdale, as Minister of Visitation. He held this volunteer staff position until December of 2017, when he was called by First Christian Church, Globe.

As Pastor of First Christian Church in Globe, he continued the tradition of holding joint services in the community and worked with the Gila County Ministerial

Association, and have been serving as President since 2019. Al wrote grants to fund music programs in conjunction with the Cobre Valley Youth Club, and recently wrote a grant to fund FCC Globe’s first ever website. In his clergy career, he  attended two General Assemblies, and six Regional Assemblies. He currently serves on the AZ Region Mission Focus Council as Chair of the Global Mission Team.

Beginning in 2019, Rev. Dr. Richard Wing and Al formed a team to bring Centering Prayer to prisons in Arizona. They were supposed to commence in March of 2020, but had to pause the program due to the pandemic. Since their initial visit in November of 2021, they have been able to conduct the program every Monday at Cook Facility at the Eyman Complex in Florence, and their team has now grown to four volunteers.
